Digital Manufacturing Systems Specialist

Role: Repairs Engineer
Location: Lincoln - 2 days a week in office
Duration: 12 months
Rate: Negotiable DOE
About the role:
We are seeking a skilled professional to support the Repair Engineering team of our clients Gas Turbine Product Line.
Key responsibilities:
- Support the creation and ongoing development of repair processes.
- Work across the fleet of Gas Turbine products.
- Analyse data of inspected/assessed hardware, determine the requirements for component re-use and/or its repair, working alongside our overhauls, materials labs and engineering colleagues.
- Document and compile repair schemes for engineering approval.
How you'll make an impact:
- Identify and develop cost reduction opportunities using SAP and through liaison with our Engineering facility colleagues.
- Make engineering recommendations based on investigation of hardware condition.
- Review and develop criteria for re-use and repair.
- Perform technical package activities in support of overhaul and 'in-field maintenance' processes.
- Write, revise and maintain repair documents.
Requirements:
- Degree in Mechanical, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering OR relevant experience.
- Knowledge of gas turbine operation and maintenance, ideally SGT.
- Proven record of implementing technical solutions and improvements.
- Working to processes and procedures.
- Able to contribute to a team environment.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and writing skills.
- Computer literate and experienced in Microsoft office suite, PLM and SAP.
