Job Description

Venesky-Brown's client, a public sector organization, is currently seeking a skilled Database Administrator/Data Analyst to fill a 10-month contract position with potential for extension. This role requires expertise in database management, data analysis, and business intelligence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Make the current project data repository accessible to the project team and add required queries/screens to allow the team to interrogate/view the data.
  • Provide Excel outputs in preparation for sharing with NHS partner organizations.
  • Extend the data structure to support import, separation, and comparison of data returned from partner organizations.
  • Create reports on financial liability/variance, member and contract stats, and data validation outcomes.
  • Advise on limitations and risk for the project data repository and manage the move to an alternative data tool if necessary.
  • Work closely with the Project Manager and Business Analyst on data requirements and specifications.
  • Engage positively and professionally with the project team, internal and external subject matter experts, and stakeholder groups.
Requirements:
  • Expertise in Access DB.
  • Experience in database management (maintenance, manipulation, access, and querying) using SQL.
  • Expertise in data modeling, reporting, analysis, presentation, and visualization.
  • Ability to engage positively and professionally with the project team, internal and external subject matter experts, and stakeholder groups.
  • Experience in applying a range of tools and techniques to collate and analyze data.
  • Experience conceiving, designing, and building dashboards using tools such as Excel and enterprise BI solutions.
  • Experience working on large projects.
  • Ability to lead on data initiatives, develop a plan, and influence and negotiate with colleagues and stakeholders to implement the plan.
  • Ability to support moving to Apex Oracle after Excel.
Desirable Qualifications:
  • Data analysis qualification.
  • 5+ years of experience as a data analyst.
