Salary and Benefits

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Food Service Professional who can work independently and as part of a team to prepare and serve food to our customers. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for cooking and be able to create a variety of dishes using different ingredients and techniques.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Preparing and cooking meals for large groups of people
  • Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen
  • Working efficiently and effectively to meet deadlines and demands
  • Providing excellent customer service and ensuring that all customers receive their food in a timely manner

Key Responsibilities

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Preparation of hot cereals, broiled meats, concentrated or dehydrated soups, sauces, and gravies
  • Preparation of convenience items such as frozen hash browns, fish fillets and chicken nuggets
  • Portioning foods for distribution and meal service, and covering, dating and storing leftovers according to established procedures
  • Maintaining a clean and organized workspace

You will also be required to perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • At least 1 year of experience in a similar role
  • A strong passion for cooking and a willingness to learn new skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • A high level of attention to detail and ability to work under pressure

You will also need to be flexible and able to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
