We are seeking a highly skilled Audit Team Lead to join our team at BDO UK. As a key member of our audit team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality audit work for the benefit of the public interest.

Our audit teams are essential to the whole economy, and our auditors have the business understanding necessary to deliver robust audits that companies and their stakeholders can trust.

You will receive the support you need to reach your potential, from completing professional qualifications to developing new skills and exploring different learning opportunities.

The international audit team is an industry-agnostic team that specialises in providing fully coordinated secondary audit services to multinationals. You will work closely with BDO Member Firms from around the world to design high-quality and highly efficient global audit strategies.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing a wide portfolio of concurrent projects and project teams with conflicting milestones and deliverables. You will also have experience in managing difficult conversations and challenging management.

We are looking for someone with significant experience of delivering audit and other assurance services to major audited entities, including audited entities with international interests. You will also have experience in managing a team and developing staff.

Key Responsibilities:

Requirements:

  • Significant experience of delivering audit and other assurance services
  • Experience in managing a team and developing staff
  • Experience in managing difficult conversations and challenging management
  • Excellent working knowledge of ISAs, IFRS, UK GAAP and Financial Reporting requirements

Desirable:

  • Sector experience appropriate to BDO audited entities
  • Experience designing audit strategies that rely on controls and the IT environment of the audited entity
