Role Overview

Kings College Hospital is seeking a skilled physiotherapist to join our medical team. As a Senior Physiotherapist, you will work in various specialties including emergency/acute medicine, specialist medicine, and rehabilitation of older people.

The rotations are 7-8 monthly and take place in areas such as Acute Medical Unit, Acute Frailty Unit, Emergency Department, General Medical ward, and Health & Aging Unit. You will also have opportunities for shared learning, service development, and research.

Main Responsibilities

  • To provide high-quality physiotherapy services to patients in various medical settings.
  • To work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans.
  • To participate in on-call and weekend physiotherapy rota.
  • To assess, plan, and progress treatment appropriately.
  • To maintain accurate records and complete SOAP documentation.

Requirements

  • Degree or other recognized qualification in physiotherapy.
  • HCPC registration.
  • Wide-ranging post-graduate clinical experience including musculo-skeletal, orthopaedics, respiratory, elderly, and neurology.
  • Knowledge and understanding of a broad range of conditions affecting adults, including older people in an acute setting.
  • Good assessment skills and varied rehab techniques.
  • Able to give clear, concise written and verbal reports in English and complete SOAP documentation.

Salary and Benefits
