Job Opportunity

Heritage Portfolio is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Food Service Assistant - Barista to join their team at the cafe in V&A Dundee. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who want to succeed in a fast-paced and innovative catering environment.

Key Benefits:

  • Flexible casual contract with 4+ hours per week
  • Competitive hourly rate
  • Predominantly day shifts with some evening shifts as required
  • 5 out of 7 days per week
  • Full training provided
  • Frequent transport links within a short walk

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide a friendly and welcoming atmosphere to benefit both the company and guests
  • Prepare and serve freshly ground coffee to high standards
  • Ensure tables are kept clean and condiments are well stocked
  • Assist with answering questions and making suggestions regarding food and beverage choices

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Previous experience in a similar role is ideal, but excellent people skills are a must
  • Barista experience is a plus, but not essential
  • A positive and approachable attitude is required for this customer-facing role
  • Strong communication skills, teamwork ethos, and a positive can-do attitude are essential
  • Ability to work well on your own and as part of a team
