Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Design Engineer to join our team at Kimberly-Clark. As a key member of our electrical engineering team, you will be responsible for delivering legislative and corporate safety and engineering standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Champion and continuously improve all safety requirements, including the supervision of the technical support team and contractors.
  • Manage capital projects from initial feasibility study to final close out, ensuring KPIs for safety, cost, time, and specification are met.
  • Lead root cause failure analysis and 4-step problem-solving.
  • Coach, develop, and build capability in mill teams to adhere to electrical mill processes and standards.
  • Champion the planning, implementation, and continuation of company-wide programs, such as LEAN, OPEX, and P2030 best practices.
  • Consciously improve the way activities are planned and scheduled to effectively integrate asset and business requirements.
  • Transfer in-depth technical knowledge of electrical equipment in areas of responsibility.
  • Lead weekly asset team meetings and review asset KPIs to drive improvement.

Requirements

  • Minimum BEng Electrical (Electronic) Engineering or equivalent tertiary education or experience.
  • Preferably experienced within a manufacturing, packaging, or FMCG environment.
  • Knowledge of SAP computerized maintenance systems and processes.
  • Applied knowledge and high-level experience of PLC programming, drives, and automation.
