Job Description

IC Resources is seeking an experienced Open Source Build Engineer to join our team in Edinburgh. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in providing tools and infrastructure to streamline the development, release, and deployment of software.

This team works across the organization to design, build, and maintain CI/CD tooling, creating automation frameworks for Open Source build tools such as gcc and OpenOCD, and creating and managing workflows for CI/CD pipelines.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop CI/CD tooling to support Open Source engineering
  • Create automation frameworks for Open Source build tools
  • Develop and manage workflows for CI/CD pipelines
  • Support teams in creating or migrating CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and Jenkins

Requirements:

  • Experience in building Open Source tooling, infrastructure, and DevOps
  • Excellent knowledge in CI/CD pipelines, especially with GitHub Actions and Jenkins Pipelines
  • Deep knowledge of Typescript and Python
  • Familiarity with Open Source tools and contributions to the open-source community (Zephyr and/or embedded Linux preferred)
  • Experience of working in an embedded software environment or providing tools for embedded software engineering

This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days per week in our Edinburgh office. As a key member of our team, you will be taking a leading role in working on greenfield open source build projects, often creating new build, infrastructure, and DevOps tools from the ground up.
