About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity to join the Moxy York team as a Kitchen Assistant. We are looking for someone with a great personality and a can-do attitude to assist with tasks related to meal preparation, cooking, and preparing dishes in the Moxy way.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook guest food orders the Moxy way, ensuring high-quality dishes are delivered to our guests.
  • Assist with basic food preparation, including breakfast preparation for the following day, to ensure a smooth operation.
  • Clean and sterilize countertops, kitchen walls, ovens, and sinks to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Ensure the kitchen is cleaned and ready for the next day by completing a thorough cleaning routine.
  • Maintain the food storage areas, including freezers and refrigerators, to ensure food safety and quality.
  • Receive and organize deliveries in the kitchen, ensuring timely and efficient processing.
  • Wash and put away dirty dishes, including cutlery, pots, cutting boards, and pans, or load them into the dishwasher.
  • Remove kitchen waste from waste containers and dispose of it properly, maintaining a clean and hygienic environment.
  • Clean and maintain cooking equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Provide assistance to the team as needed, supporting colleagues to achieve our goals.
  • Maintain hygiene and HACCP records, recording all entries daily in the food safety diary.
  • Ensure correct chemicals are used in daily tasks and inform the duty manager when replenishment is needed.
