Job Description

Pertemps Sheffield is seeking a skilled HGV/LGV C+E Driver to join our team. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for transporting food products to M&S Retail Stores from our National Distribution Centre in West Yorkshire.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver food products to M&S Retail stores in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Operate a range of vehicles, including those with tail lifts and cages.
  • Perform tight reversing maneuvers to ensure safe and efficient loading and unloading of goods.
  • Ensure all loads are safely secured and comply with health and safety regulations.
  • Complete daily delivery paperwork and log sheets.
Requirements:
  • Hold a valid LGV/HGV C+E licence with a minimum of 6 months driving experience.
  • Have a clean driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points and no endorsements such as DD's, DR's or IN10s.
  • Possession of an OPS35 (DHL) assessment is desirable but not essential.
Benefits:
  • Competitive hourly rates: £17.13ph (day) and £25.69ph (after 8hrs), £18.46ph (night) and £27.69ph (after 8hrs).
  • Break deductions of 45 minutes taken after anything worked over 8 hours.
  • Pay is based on PAYE, with no acceptance of LTD or Umbrella companies.
  • Accrue holiday pay, with an average of 2 days per month on a 40hr week.
  • Enrolled in an optional pension scheme, with the option to opt out.
  • Statutory Sick Pay (SSP) paid after a certain period of working time.
