Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced MET Technician to join our team at Steer Automotive Group. As an MET Technician, you will be responsible for performing mechanical and body work on assigned jobs, conducting inspections and diagnostics, and ensuring the timely arrival of replacement parts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Vehicle Repair and Maintenance: Perform all necessary mechanical and body work on assigned jobs, including vehicle dismantling, inspections, and diagnostics.
- Parts Management: Order replacement parts and ensure their timely arrival to meet agreed timescales.
- Reassembly and Quality Control: Reassemble vehicles with new parts to restore them to pre-accident condition, ensuring high-quality workmanship and attention to detail.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with colleagues to meet team goals and objectives, and contribute to a positive and productive work environment.
- Health and Safety: Adhere to Health and Safety guidelines, including wearing provided PPE and maintaining cleanliness in work areas.
Requirements:
- Experience: Significant experience as an MET Technician, preferably from an accident repair background.
- Attention to Detail: High attention to detail and the ability to work skillfully and safely under pressure.
- Workload Planning: Effective workload planning to meet agreed timescales.
- Specifications Adherence: Ability to work in accordance with manufacturers' specifications.
- Team Player: A team player with the initiative to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Flexibility: Flexibility in approach and commitment to maintaining high standards.
