Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant to support students with special educational needs and disabilities in achieving their full potential. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and other staff members to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and other personalized learning strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one support to students with SEND, both inside and outside the classroom, to help them engage with learning activities and achieve their learning goals.
  • Assist in the implementation of IEPs and other personalized learning strategies, under the guidance of the SENCO and classroom teachers.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress, observations, and interventions, in accordance with school policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Relevant experience working with children or young people with SEND, either in an educational setting or a similar environment.
  • A genuine passion for supporting the learning and development of students with diverse needs, including but not limited to autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and physical disabilities.
  • A proactive and flexible approach to teamwork, with a willingness to take initiative and contribute to the wider school community.
  • A commitment to upholding safeguarding policies and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in areas such as Teaching Assistance, Special Educational Needs, Childcare, or Psychology would be advantageous.
