Job DescriptionThis role involves working with children and young people in a residential childcare setting, providing emotional and social support, enhancing self-esteem and respect, and promoting positive life choices and independence.
Responsibilities:- To provide emotional and social support to children and young people, building meaningful relationships and encouraging interaction with peers and adults.
- To enhance self-esteem and respect by helping young people develop a positive self-image and feel valued.
- To promote positive life choices and independence by supporting children in making positive decisions and achieving levels of independence appropriate to their age and abilities.
- To maintain accurate and detailed records of events, observations, progress, child protection matters, and health and safety checks.
- A minimum of 1 year's experience working with children and/or young people in a residential childcare or teaching setting.
- NVQ level 3 Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification.
- Full Enhanced DBS disclosure required for this role.
This role offers a competitive salary of £11.44 per hour, as well as a range of benefits, including pension scheme, sick and maternity pay, and entertainment benefits.
