This role offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with the US Head Office Finance/Tax team, leveraging your expertise in UK Insurance Tax to drive strategic decision-making. You will have experience in either a large accounting firm or in-house, where you have managed tax processes and functions.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Direct tax compliance obligations, including Lloyd's and US GAAP tax reporting.
  • Manage tax reporting for US GAAP/IFRS and UK GAAP Financial Statements in coordination with the US Tax Function.
  • Assess, document, and manage uncertain tax positions and related tax risks associated with UK operations.
  • Maintain and enhance procedures and controls to comply with SAO provisions.
  • Advise on tax implications of potential acquisitions, disposals, expansion, and similar projects.
  • Monitor and interpret UK and international tax developments relevant to UK operations.

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • UK and international tax experience in industry and/or public accounting firms (UK tax experience essential).
  • Experience and knowledge of tax reporting within U.S. GAAP and/or IFRS financial reporting (preferred).
  • Insurance industry experience (preferred).

The ideal candidate will also possess:

  • Alphatax Tax Software experience (desirable).
  • PeopleSoft General Ledger experience (desirable).
  • One-Source Tax Reporting Software experience (desirable).

We offer a competitive salary of £80,000 - £110,000 per annum, reflecting the senior level of this position. This role is based in London, and we provide a comprehensive benefits package, including pension scheme, health insurance, and generous holiday entitlement.
