Mathematics Educator

Job Summary:

GSL Education is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Mathematics Educator to join our team at a reputable Secondary School in Scarborough, North Yorkshire. As a Mathematics Educator, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging Maths lessons to students of varying abilities, across Key Stage 3 and GCSE.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective Maths lesson plans, incorporating innovative teaching strategies and resources.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their growth and development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the learning experience and promote positive behaviour throughout the school.
  • Participate in staff training days, staff meetings, and parent-teacher conferences.

Requirements:

  • Hold UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a Maths or STEM Degree.
  • Have recent experience teaching Maths in an educational setting.
  • Be able to provide professional references, relating to your teaching within the last 2 years.
  • Be a passionate educator with the ability to differentiate tasks for differing levels.
  • Hold a Child Only DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one.
