About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Associate Project Engineer to join our Engineering team at Climate17, a purpose-led international Renewable Energy & Sustainability recruitment firm. The ideal candidate will have recent graduate or junior engineer experience in renewable energy development, design, construction, and commissioning.

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating internal and external technical design reviews, collaborating with Innova engineering team members, and supporting the resolution of Technical Queries between EPC/equipment supply contractors and Innova engineering team members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinating internal and external technical design reviews
  • Collaborating with Innova engineering team members to achieve alignment on key technical topics for EPC and equipment supply contract negotiation
  • Supporting design risk assessments, including maintaining site-specific assumptions/decisions logs
  • Supporting the resolution of Technical Queries between EPC/equipment supply contractors and Innova engineering team members
  • Contributing to Innova's Health & Safety culture through proactive observations
  • Supporting technology selection and performance evaluations, such as PV yield assessments or BESS round-trip efficiency assessments

Requirements:

  • Recent graduate or junior engineer with up to or approximately 3 years' experience in renewable energy development, design, construction, and commissioning
  • Proven ability to solve technical problems with a thorough and diligent problem-solving mindset
  • Proven ability to work positively in a team and communicate across different stakeholders
  • Bachelor's degree or apprenticeship in engineering (any discipline), physics, applied maths, or equivalent experience
