We are currently seeking a reliable and experienced 7.5-tonne delivery driver to join our team at TRCGroup, based in the Hinckley area.
Job DescriptionThe ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of experience driving a Category C1 vehicle and hold a valid DCPC and Digital Tachograph card. They should also have no more than 6 points on their licence and a full understanding of WTD legislation.
- Safely operate a 7.5-tonne delivery vehicle to make scheduled deliveries and collections for customers.
- Plan delivery routes efficiently to complete around 60 drops per day, considering traffic, road conditions, and time constraints.
- Provide excellent customer service while interacting with customers during deliveries and collections.
- Handle packages with care to prevent damage and ensure accurate delivery.
- Complete necessary paperwork and digital documentation for each delivery and collection accurately and promptly.
- Adhere to all relevant traffic and safety regulations, including securing loads and wearing appropriate safety gear.
- Communicate effectively with despatch, supervisors, and customers to provide updates on delivery progress and potential delays.
- Assist with loading and unloading packages onto and from the delivery vehicle.
