Job Overview:
Collins Aerospace is seeking a dedicated and skilled individual to join our team in assembling aluminium and steel heat exchangers. This position is open to individuals from diverse backgrounds and offers full training in matrix manufacturing processes, including heat transfer matrix build and Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Degrease components prior to assembly
- Assemble matrix components with precision and care
- Perform matrix jigging
- Participate in Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) activities
- Adhere to Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S) protocols
Comprehensive training will be provided in all matrix manufacturing operations. We value flexibility, and candidates should be willing to work across different shifts (AM/PM/Nights) as needed.
Required Qualifications:
- Completion of a recognized engineering apprenticeship (e.g., City & Guilds Level 3 or equivalent), or relevant experience in a similar role
- Familiarity with measuring tools such as Vernier callipers and micrometres
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Willingness to work flexible shifts as required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically in a fast-paced setting
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
