Corporate Actions Associate

BNY is seeking a highly skilled Corporate Actions Associate to join our team in Manchester, UK. As a key member of our Corporate Actions team, you will be responsible for performing a range of tasks related to corporate actions, including processing mandatory and voluntary corporate actions, managing risk and liability, and reconciling transactions.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform corporate action-related custody and accounting processing requirements, including dividend payments, reorganization/proxy, bond redemption, etc.
- Manage and control high levels of risk and liability inherent in the various functions and for reconciliation activities, client reporting and proration on transactions.
- Proactively recognize, research and process moderately intricate mandatory and voluntary corporate action events.
- Interpret, monitor, scrub and notify complex corporate action events in the global market, as well as reconcile, monitor and post entitlements to client accounts.
- Balance entitlements and process liability notices, dividend and interest payments, and class action suits.
- Identify root causes in monthly reviews and develop corrective actions.
- Review cash reconciliations, security and suspense transactions reviews adhering to established quality control measures and procedures.
- Research and respond to inquiries from internal business groups, depositories, agents, brokers, clients, Investment Managers, sub custodians and/or custodians.
- Bachelor's degree in a related discipline or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
- Experience in financial services or corporate actions preferred. Applicable local/regional licenses or certifications as required by the business.
- Strong command of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint would be advantageous.
- Experience working in high-volume and high-pressure environment with the ability to deliver time-sensitive situations.
