Job Description

Pertemps Kettering is seeking a skilled Food Production Operative to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our food production processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Health and Safety: Ensure all health and safety policies and procedures are followed at all times, and report any near misses and accidents.
  • Food Safety and Quality: Ensure company food safety and quality procedures are followed at all times, and escalate any food safety near misses/issues.
  • HACCP Policy: Follow the HACCP policy at all times, and ensure CCP checks are carried out in a timely manner and recorded correctly.
  • Machine Inspection: Carry out machine inspection throughout the shift and report any deficiencies or defects to the Technical Operator or Team Leader.
  • Production Schedule: Follow the production schedule to fulfill daily/weekly production plan on time and communicate the schedule with team members.
  • Material Supply: Keep all lines supplied with material continuously throughout the production run.
  • Changeovers: Follow change over schedules set by the Technical Operator or Team Leader, and ensure adherence to task-related SOPs.
  • Problem-Solving: Identify any issues that could impact production performance and seek to resolve them using practical problem-solving methods.
  • Paperwork: Ensure paperwork is completed on time and in full, which forms a key part of our traceability system.
  • Reporting: Escalate and report through the proper channels any deviation from standard routines in your area and equipment.
Requirements:
  • Food Manufacturing Experience: Previous experience in food manufacturing is essential.
  • Teamwork: A positive attitude towards teamwork and a willingness to work collaboratively with others.
  • Adaptability: A proactive and forward-thinking mindset, with a willingness to adapt to new situations and processes.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with team members and management.
  • Integrity: A strong sense of integrity and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of quality and safety.
