The successful candidate will work within the Gartnavel General Hospital, Glasgow, as part of Medical Illustration Services, NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde. The role involves providing a professional ophthalmic and clinical service, delivering high-quality patient care in a safe and secure environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing ophthalmic imaging services to support the development of a well-established ophthalmic imaging service across NHS GGC.
  • Working with both adults and children, with a focus on delivering high-quality patient care.
  • Contributing to the development of staff and services through training, quality control, and performance review.

The ideal candidate will be a motivated and conscientious individual with excellent interpersonal skills. A degree-level education in ophthalmic imaging or clinical photography is essential, as is registration on the national AHCS register and full membership of a professional body.

The post is full-time, 37 hours per week, with a shift pattern of 5 days over 7, 365 days per year, including public holidays. The successful candidate will be required to work 7.5 hours and 12-hour shifts.
