Learning Support Specialist in SEN Education

This SEN Teaching Assistant position involves supporting students with various special educational needs in Ashford and its surroundings. As part of our team, you will contribute to providing high-quality educational services by collaborating with educators, administrators, and other professionals to ensure student success.
Main Responsibilities:- Deliver tailored support to students facing challenges related to SEMH, ADHD, autism, or speech and language impairments.
- Work closely with teachers to devise individualized learning strategies and develop effective interventions to help students meet their full potential.
- Maintain a welcoming, secure, and stimulating classroom environment.
- Hold a degree or equivalent in teaching assistance or possess a minimum of GCSEs in Maths and English at grade C.
- Previous experience working with SEN pupils covering needs like SEMH, ADHD, autism, or speech and language impairments.
- Possibility to move between multiple schools in the Ashford area; having a driver's license can be beneficial for schools outside the city center.
- Autonomy: Select from temporary, short-term, or long-term placements fitting your schedule.
- Diversity: Develop expertise in diverse educational settings, including SEN-focused schools and mainstream schools equipped with SRP programs.
- Familiarity with Local Conditions: Leveraging our extensive knowledge and presence throughout Kent, we grasp the region's specific needs, particularly for those residing near our Ashford headquarters.
