About the Role:

This is a part-time, permanent position, requiring 25 hours per week on a 3 shifts in, 3 shifts off rolling shift pattern. Working hours will be between 03:45 am and 00:00 midnight, with a mix of AM and PM shifts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the bookshop and books team, ensuring exceptional customer service and meeting business objectives.
  • Unpack and sort book deliveries, pick and distribute stock, maintain stock levels, and arrange charts in all stores.
  • Lead and inspire the team to create a working environment that supports colleague development and achievement.
  • Support employee training and development, and motivate teams to deliver their best.
Requirements:
  • Criminal Records Bureau Check to be completed by WHSmith if your application is successful.
  • Photographic ID, such as a passport or UK Driving Licence.
  • Experience of proactively leading from the front, getting stuck in, and helping the team on the shop floor.
  • Experience of supporting employee training and development, and motivating teams to deliver their best.
