Senior Manager Infrastructure Delivery

At Turner & Townsend, we're passionate about delivering sustainable outcomes for our clients. As a Senior Manager Infrastructure Delivery, you'll play a key role in orchestrating complex strategy and transformations for public and private sector clients.

Our Programme Advisory team focuses on delivering major programmes in the UK and internationally. We're seeking talented individuals to join our Controls & Performance UK team in London and contribute to the successful delivery of business transformation and controls & performance advisory services.

As a Senior Manager, you'll work across high-profile infrastructure, real estate, or natural resources projects, managing and driving the team to deliver business transformation and controls & performance advisory services. You'll contribute across several areas, including:

  • Developing and implementing PMO, integrated controls & performance, functional set-up and optimisation, and digital transformation related strategies;
  • Designing target operating models and organisational design in the context of capital infrastructure delivery businesses, integrated controls & performance functions, PMO set-ups, or digital transformation;
  • Managing the delivery of workshops in virtual and face-to-face environments;
  • Deploying and tailoring established methodologies, processes, tools, and systems;
  • Driving key activities within the Programme Advisory team, including internal development of transformation products and approaches;
  • Contributing to business generation activities, such as bids and proposals, and working closely with Senior Management and the wider Turner & Townsend team.

The ideal candidate will have experience and qualifications in line with the below, but we're open to enthusiastic and ambitious individuals who have high ambitions and a growth mindset keen on building a successful consultancy career within the construction industry.

  1. Experience of working on major capital projects/programmes in leading positions covering one or more roles within the PMO/controls & performance environment (schedule, cost, risk, change, or performance reporting) in the Infrastructure sector (Defence, Nuclear, Rail, Airport, Highways, Utilities) or similar;
  2. Experience of delivering and managing complex business transformation programmes in the construction industry;
  3. Experience in strategy and set-up of target operating models and organisational design in the context of capital infrastructure delivery businesses, integrated controls & performance functions, or PMO set-ups;
  4. Experience with supporting capability/maturity assessments across the capital delivery businesses, PMO, controls & performance, or a specific function;
  5. Experience with supporting the development of controls & performance integrated processes and digital solutions used to create a 'one version of the truth' and enabling client leadership teams to make informed decision-making based on actionable intelligence;
  6. Experience with writing/presenting reports and ability to navigate through complex stakeholder environments and engage (as required) with C-suite level, executive client teams;
  7. Computer literacy in Office 365 applications, diagramming tools such as Visio, online whiteboarding tools such as Miro, team collaboration tools such as Slack, Microsoft Teams, or specialist controls & performance software tools such as Oracle Primavera, PRISM, Power BI, or similar;
  8. Monitors business performance against plan ensuring corrective action is taken when necessary;
  9. Sees opportunities for efficiency through implementation of new processes;
  10. Is committed to implementing Turner & Townsend's Policy and Vision;
  11. Evaluates performance and takes appropriate actions, recognising success;
  12. Develops, delivers, and drives continuous improvement through service development and innovation;
  13. Assesses the risks and wider impact of a range of different options, from a Turner & Townsend and client perspective;
  14. Is skilled in building teams by developing a harmonious and productive team ethic;
