Job Description:

The Ministry of Justice is seeking a highly experienced and skilled individual to fill the role of Director of Programme Management Office. As a key member of the Ministry's leadership team, you will be responsible for leading the delivery of a suite of Accredited Programmes and Structured Interventions in the North West region.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and Implement Programme Strategy: Develop and implement a programme strategy that aligns with the Ministry's goals and objectives, ensuring the effective delivery of Accredited Programmes and Structured Interventions.
  2. Lead Programme Management Team: Lead and manage a team of programme managers and coordinators, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful delivery of programmes.
  3. Collaborate with Stakeholders: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including probation practitioners, court staff, and community partners, to ensure the effective delivery of programmes and services.
  4. Monitor and Evaluate Programme Performance: Monitor and evaluate programme performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to ensure the effective delivery of programmes.
  5. Develop and Maintain Partnerships: Develop and maintain partnerships with community organizations, charities, and other stakeholders to ensure the effective delivery of programmes and services.
  6. Ensure Compliance with Policies and Procedures: Ensure compliance with Ministry policies and procedures, including those related to data protection, health and safety, and equality and diversity.
  7. Develop and Implement Quality Assurance Processes: Develop and implement quality assurance processes to ensure the effective delivery of programmes and services.
  8. Provide Training and Development Opportunities: Provide training and development opportunities for programme managers and coordinators to ensure they have the skills and knowledge required to deliver programmes effectively.
  9. Monitor and Evaluate Programme Budgets: Monitor and evaluate programme budgets, identifying areas for cost savings and implementing changes to ensure the effective use of resources.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Probation Qualification Framework Graduate Diploma/ Honours Degree in Community Justice integrated with Level 5 Diploma in Probation Practice.
  • Experience: Significant experience in programme management, including experience of leading and managing teams, developing and implementing programme strategies, and collaborating with stakeholders.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and management skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
