Job Overview

CLARKSON PLC is seeking a highly skilled IT Network Operations Specialist to join our Infrastructure team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional 3rd line support to our global infrastructure network and contributing to various network projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively monitor IT systems and implement measures to reduce system downtime.
  • Effectively troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues.
  • Test business applications, network, and server performance, providing performance statistics and reports, and developing strategies for maintaining and improving core infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with Project Management to deliver site deployments/moves.
  • Maintain adherence to all IT security policies and assist in enforcing and monitoring of IT security policies.
  • Participate in on-call rota & regular weekend network maintenance.
  • A willingness to travel is essential for domestic and overseas assignments.
  • Additional/ad-hoc duties as required to meet business needs.

Essential Requirements

  • CCNA level certification.
  • At least 3 years of experience within an IT support/administration role.
  • Able to demonstrate an understanding of routing, switching, firewalls, SD-WAN, and associated protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF).
  • High capacity to learn.

Desirable Requirements

  • Hands-on experience working on multiple vendors, including Cisco & Meraki (Firewalls, APs, and Switches).
  • Experience working within the Service Now framework.
  • Knowledge and application of ITIL processes.
  • Experience monitoring, investigating, and diagnosing issues.
