About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Automation Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team at Johnson Controls. As a key member of our software development scrum team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our web applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop automation test cases for new and existing products based on acceptance criteria and functional testing.
  • Implement GUI regression testing through automated testing to ensure product changes and features have been implemented successfully.
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders to ensure that all requirements are met.
  • Review product requirements, design specifications for preparing/conducting system level testing and provide regular updates on product quality, risks and mitigation plan.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, engineering, information security, or related field, advanced degree preferred.
  • 2–4 years of experience in software quality assurance role of responsive web applications for enterprise level customers.
  • Working experience and knowledge of Agile methodology, JIRA, Confluence, Zephyr Scale, Git, WebDriverIO, TypeScript, REST API and Scrum.
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycles, testing methodologies, defect life cycle and QA best practices.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines to include automation test and regression tests to support continuous integration.
  • Knowledgeable in computer networks including private subnets, DNS, TCP/UDP, firewalls, load balancers, reverse proxies, API gateways, NAT, IPv6 etc.
  • Certification in Agile to enhance team efficiency and product quality.
