Twin Training International is an award-winning provider of education, travel, and employment services. Located in London, the Academic Programme Director will be responsible for overseeing the overall student experience and administration of our English language programmes and our newly launched NCUK's International Foundation Year (IFY) programme.

The successful candidate will report to the International Director, Sales & Operations and the Academic Director, working closely with the Head of Operations to manage and oversee the smooth and effective running of Twin English Centre, London.

This role involves managing a team of people accountable for the day-to-day activities of the centre from planning and preparation prior to arrival to programme delivery and customer service evaluation.

  • Manage the inspection process for all company regulatory bodies including British Council, ISI and NCUK.
  • Delivery of the year-round and the London summer centre delivery plan.
  • Recruitment, induction, training and performance management of all centre staff.
  • Liaising with the operations and accommodation teams to ensure timely and accurate processing of all centre bookings.
  • Ensuring the timely processing of purchase orders and Pleo receipts to enable accuracy of financial reporting.
  • Successfully setting up and subsequently decommissioning all designated summer centres pre and post live operation respectively.
  • Ensure compliance with all internal policies and procedures.
  • Out-of-office emergency cover required.
  • Coordination of all EFL non-teaching staff including administration and student services.
  • Work in conjunction with the Director of Studies in relation to classroom space, teacher numbers and academic supplies.
  • Monitor complaints regularly, follow up actions and keep management updated with issues.

Key Responsibilities International Foundation Year Programme (IFY):

  • Develop and implement procedures for day-to-day IFY operations.
  • Oversee the delivery of high-quality IFY teaching programme in accordance with the syllabi.
  • Coordinate the IFY academic calendar and assessment dates.
  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date IFY student academic records are maintained.
  • Meet regularly with IFY Academic management to review programme and student progression.

Education & Experience:

  • Postgraduate academic qualification or relevant professional qualifications.
  • Experience in education management ideally with at least five years' experience.
  • An understanding of UK/Western higher education and international students' needs.
  • Direct experience of higher education in an international context.
  • Understanding and experience of International Foundation Qualifications.
  • Relevant teaching experience ideally with at least five years' experience.
  • Experience of academic assessment and standards and quality assurance procedures.
  • A demonstrable track record in business management.
  • Proven experience of achieving key performance targets.
  • Management experience working with other departments to achieve company goals.

Desirable:

  • Specific experience of education in the United Kingdom.
  • Experience in developing academic qualifications.
  • Understanding and appreciation of private sector education.
  • High level of Excel skills and knowledge of CLASS management system or similar.
  • A record of achievement in teaching.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills including fluency in English.
  • Effective communication with academics in the Study Centre and externally.
  • Ability to review assessments outside their discipline.
  • Proven planning and organisational skills and ability to take initiative within curriculum objectives.
  • Flexible with problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills.
  • A willingness to learn and improve personal effectiveness.

Additional Information:

  • Salary: £55,000 - £60,000 per annum depending on experience plus bonus.
  • Contract: Permanent - Full Time.
  • Hours: Monday to Friday 09:00 - 17:30.
