Commercial Account Manager

Job Overview
This role presents a fantastic opportunity to join a leading food manufacturer as a Commercial Account Manager. You will be responsible for building relationships with major retailers and other key customers, driving sales growth, and improving service on significant commercial accounts.
The ideal candidate will possess a sound foundation in a commercial/account management function within the food industry and be keen to develop their career in commercial account management. They will also have strong transferable skills from a sales background, an enquiring mind, and a fastidious attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
- Building customer relations and identifying new sales opportunities within existing accounts will be the core of what you can expect to be doing day to day. You will assist and eventually own management of key accounts with the major grocery retailers.
- Manage the customer relationships and P/L account in respect of your portfolio/category of products.
- Ensure strong relationships with the procurement team to ensure accurate margin forecasts, high quality, and strong inbound performance.
- Manage the marketing and sales of a portfolio of products. This portfolio will change from time to time depending on supply windows and new product developments. Ensure the key category objectives set by your line manager are achieved.
