About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Quantitative Developer to join our Fixed Income Group in London. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in developing and maintaining quantitative applications that provide valuable insights to our portfolio managers and credit analysts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Deploy Quantitative Applications: Design, develop, and deploy quantitative applications that provide timely and accurate insights to our investment teams. Collaborate with our IT teams to configure CI/CD pipelines, artifactory, and control-M jobs.
  • Create User Interfaces: Develop user-friendly interfaces for our FIG quant strategy platform, ensuring seamless interaction with our stakeholders.
  • Improve Team Efficiency: Create and maintain software development kits (SDKs) to solve common challenges within our quant estate, driving team efficiency and productivity.
  • Collaborate with IT Teams: Work closely with our IT teams, including core data services, architecture, cyber security, and support, to improve the architecture and ensure best practices.
  • Enhance Observability and Stability: Improve the observability and stability of our existing quant applications, which detect market dislocations, monitor markets for trading opportunities, provide input in portfolio construction, and form a basis for systematic backtesting.
  • Lead Code Reviews: Oversee code reviews and lead the process to ensure design and programming best practices are followed.
Requirements
  • Programming Experience: Proven experience in Python programming, with a strong understanding of object-oriented programming, architectural considerations, and good test coverage.
  • Database Experience: Experience with relational databases and writing performant queries in SQL-based languages.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts accurately and succinctly, both verbally and in writing.
  • Business Acumen: Strong business acumen, with a keen interest in fixed income markets and a desire to apply technical expertise to deliver immediate business value.
  • Team Player: A collaborative mindset, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders across teams and departments.
