Production Technician

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Production Technician to join our team at Atlas Elektronik UK. As a Production Technician, you will be responsible for performing a variety of production tasks within the sonar transducer section.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist in the production and testing of 1-3 piezo-composite transducer products using various production, laboratory, and workshop techniques and equipment.
- Interpret test results and take action accordingly.
- Understand technical drawings, assembly procedures, and test specifications.
- Communicate effectively with Production Engineers/Team Leaders to resolve errors in documents or assemblies.
- Demonstrate a working knowledge of hand tools for mechanical and electrical operations.
- Adhere to control processes to achieve conforming products.
- Support prototyping and first build activity, and prepare products for transfer to production.
- Complete paperwork in accordance with quality and contractual requirements, ensuring materials and product traceability.
- Communicate manufacturing failures and process improvement ideas to Team Leaders.
- A production technician with at least 3 years of experience in a multi-disciplined manufacturing/production environment.
- Previous experience working with resins/polymers/polyurethanes to tight tolerances would be advantageous.
- Previous experience in milling/machining would be an advantage but not essential.
- A knowledge of production techniques, including lean manufacturing techniques.
- A good practical experience of soldering/de-soldering, preferably to IPC J-STD-001 and PCB assembly and rework would be an advantage but is not essential.
- Understand the principles and need for production control documentation and traceability.
- Able to trace faults in end products and identify production inefficiencies and suggest solutions.
- Process a working knowledge of ISO 9000 requirements in a production environment.
