Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Breast Radiology Consultant to join our team at Whittington Health NHS Trust in North London. As a key member of our radiology department, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality breast imaging services to our patients.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering cross-sectional reporting services, including hotseat cover, and participating in the general acute radiology on-call service. You will also be expected to contribute to teaching and training programs for undergraduate students and participate in research activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality breast imaging services, including cross-sectional reporting and hotseat cover
  • Participate in the general acute radiology on-call service, with a frequency of 1:20
  • Contribute to teaching and training programs for undergraduate students
  • Participate in research activities and quality assurance schemes
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Fellowship of the Royal College of Radiologists or equivalent
  • CCT in Radiology or within 6 months of application for CCST general radiology
  • Demonstrated experience in cross-sectional imaging and ST4-5 Breast subspecialty training (level 2)
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
