About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Process Systems Engineer to join our team in Ossett, supporting integrated PLC systems across our site. This role is ideal for an individual with experience in electrical project work, risk assessments, and technical electrical breakdowns.

Responsibilities:
  • Comply with health and safety policies and regulations, conducting risk assessments to minimize risks.
  • Carry out electrical project work from concept to installation, ensuring seamless execution.
  • Resolve technical electrical breakdowns independently and assist shift engineers as needed.
  • Maintain version control of onsite software backups, including server systems, HMI/SCADA systems, and PLC's.
  • Backup onsite equipment, including servers, HMI/SCADA systems, PLC's, motor drives, and servo systems.
  • Document lessons learned from recent projects or improvements, enhancing knowledge sharing among site engineers.
Requirements:
  • HNC Electrical as a minimum qualification.
  • Apprentice-trained with industrial PLC knowledge, boasting at least 5 years' experience.
  • Packaging equipment experience, including casepackers, metal detectors, checkweighers, conveyor systems, robot stacking, and stretch wrap applicators.
  • Familiarity with network-based communication systems, such as Profibus, Profinet, Modbus TCP/RS485, Asi, IO-Link, and factory ethernet networks and switches.
  • Understanding of various safety systems and switches, including Pilz Safety PLC's and Asi-Safe modules.
  • Knowledge of electrical CAD systems, like PCSchematic or Eplan.
  • Project leading experience in electrical design and installations.
  • Awareness of Markem inkjet printing systems and box coding.
