**Job Summary**
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Designer to join our team. As a Principal Designer, you will play a key role in shaping the design and construction process, ensuring that our projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Review and advise on construction phase health and safety plans provided by contractors.
- Attend construction and maintenance sites to undertake safety inspections.
- Produce and submit safety reports to contractors.
- Identify risks during the design and construction stages of a project.
- Produce and maintain design risk registers.
- Review design drawings and highlight risks to consultants and contractors.
- Attend design and site progress meetings.
- Advise clients, designers, and contractors regarding their duties under CDM regulations.
**Requirements**
- NEBOSH certificate or ability to attain quickly.
- Membership of the Association for Project Safety (APS) or ability to join quickly.
- Some experience of working in the construction industry within a main contractor or consultancy.
- Driving licence and use of own car.
