About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and caring individual to join our team as a Night Support Worker at Stockwell Road, a residential care home for adults with complex needs associated with autism.

As a Night Support Worker, you will play a vital role in ensuring the physical and emotional needs of our residents are met through a supportive and caring environment. You will work collaboratively with the team to provide individualized support, promote independence, and celebrate the achievements and milestones of our residents.

The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with residents, colleagues, and external partners. You will be resilient and patient when faced with challenges, adapting to individual needs and circumstances.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the physical and emotional needs of residents are met through a supportive and caring environment
  • Support residents during recreational activities, outings, and community integration
  • Promote independence, self-esteem, and confidence in residents, celebrating their achievements and milestones
  • Work collaboratively with the team to ensure support is tailored to meet individual needs
  • Keep accurate records of all activities, progress, and incidents
  • Contribute to general housekeeping duties, including meal preparation
Requirements
  • A compassionate and caring nature, with a genuine desire to make a positive impact
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships
  • Resilience and patience when faced with challenges, adapting to individual needs
  • A willingness to learn and follow guidance from the team
  • Basic IT skills for record keeping and communication purposes
  • Flexibility to work on a shift basis, including weekends and occasional night shifts
