Agricultural Technical Specialist

As a Field Technical Manager with MorePeople, you will be working in the dynamic and fast-paced agricultural sector. With our innovative client based in Cambridgeshire, you will have the chance to grow and develop your skills in a progressive and supportive environment.
We are seeking an experienced Agricultural Technical Specialist to focus on the seed potato and potato processing side of our client's business. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in agriculture, preferably with experience in potatoes or other fresh produce. A FACTS & BASIS qualification would be advantageous, but not essential.
The role involves monitoring potato crops, conducting seed crop inspections, overseeing food safety and ensuring compliance, supporting customer relations with technical expertise, and helping with store management, planting, irrigation, pest control, and more. Based on the Cambridgeshire/Norfolk border, you will be travelling across East Anglia meeting with growers daily.

Key Responsibilities:
- Monitoring potato crops and maintaining relationships with growers
- Conducting seed crop inspections and negotiating contracts
- Ensuring food safety and compliance
- Providing technical support to customers
- Assisting with store management, planting, irrigation, pest control, and other tasks
Requirements:
- Strong experience in agricultural management
- Preferably with experience in potatoes or other fresh produce
- Fully qualified in FACTS & BASIS (advantageous)
- Full UK driving license
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
