The Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a dedicated and passionate physiotherapist to join their Acute Neurotherapy Team at Gloucester Royal Hospital. This exciting opportunity offers the chance to work with patients who have neurological conditions and develop your skills in acute neuro rehabilitation.

About the Role
  • This position requires the post holder to assume responsibility for managing the clinical area in the absence of the team leader.
  • Clinical and professional supervision will be provided through regular sessions, observed practice, peer review, and formal training.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Band 7 clinical lead therapist to support the effective use of resources within budget. As part of this role, they will also supervise and appraise junior therapists, support workers, and undergraduates with the support of the Band 7.

A competitive salary of £52,449 per annum (based on 37 hours per week) is offered for this challenging yet rewarding position. We provide comprehensive benefits, including generous annual leave entitlement, flexible working options, and access to various training programs.

Key Responsibilities
  1. To develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans for patients with neurological conditions.
  2. To communicate complex information effectively with patients and carers, ensuring understanding and promoting self-management.
  3. To work collaboratively with medical, nursing, and allied health professionals to deliver a coordinated multidisciplinary service.
  4. To support leadership within the Neuro Therapy team, providing an effective and patient-centered service through assessing, planning, and implementing treatment programmes.
