Lead Instructor in Human-Facing AI Technologies

The Centre for Human Inspired Artificial Intelligence (CHIA) invites applications from experienced professionals to join our team as Assistant Professors to lead the development of new PhD and MPhil courses in Human-Inspired AI.

Candidates should have a PhD in a relevant field and expertise in machine learning, human-computer interaction, computer vision, speech and/or natural language processing, robotics, mobile systems or other areas of human-facing AI. They will be expected to conduct impactful and internationally leading research in their area of speciality and contribute to the long-term development of CHIA.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To co-lead on delivering CHIA's new PhD and MPhil in Human-Inspired Artificial Intelligence
  • To conduct impactful and internationally leading research in their area of speciality
  • To contribute to the long-term development of CHIA

Requirements:

  • PhD in a relevant field
  • Expertise in machine learning, human-computer interaction, computer vision, speech and/or natural language processing, robotics, mobile systems or other areas of human-facing AI
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Proven ability to work interdisciplinarily with other disciplines

Salary: The salary for this position is estimated to be around $90,000 - $130,000 per year.
