Electrical Supervisor Job Description

Our client, a leading facilities management and maintenance contractor, is seeking an experienced Electrical Supervisor to join their team. As an Electrical Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in delivering planned and reactive FM maintenance services to their clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Health and Safety: Manage all activities with a strong focus on health and safety, ensuring a safe working environment for all team members.
  • Shift Team Management: Oversee the delivery of planned maintenance tasks (PPMs) by the shift teams.
  • Task Management: Review and manage any remedial tasks identified by PPMs, ensuring timely completion and quality of work.
  • Reactive Calls: Handle reactive calls and ensure they are delivered in line with Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Performance Analysis: Review data to identify strengths and weaknesses in service delivery, making recommendations for improvement.
  • Team Collaboration: Foster a one-team approach by liaising with service delivery teams, subject matter experts, management, and other supervisors to achieve KPIs and SLAs.
  • Asset Management: Inform the asset and commercial team when equipment is replaced as part of the Life Cycle or Small Works Programme.
  • Subcontractor Management: Maintain relationships with key subcontractors and manage their work on site.
  • Training and Development: Provide training, support, guidance, and tools to ensure technicians use correct methods and procedures, including health and safety requirements.
  • Team Management: Effectively manage your team, identifying and addressing poor performance.
Requirements:
  • Electrical Qualifications: Recognized electrical qualifications, including Electrical Apprenticeship, 18th edition IEE, and C&G 2391.
  • Experience: Proven track record in delivering engineering solutions in a critical environment.
  • Operational Understanding: Detailed operational understanding of facilities maintenance, soft services, hard services, and building services within a business-critical environment.
  • People Management: Proven track record in successful people management, including performance management and familiarity with operational HR processes and procedures.
  • IT Skills: Excellent IT skills.
  • Knowledge: Wide breadth of knowledge on mechanical, electrical systems, and building fabric repairs.
