Job Description:

Design Manager Role:

We're seeking a highly skilled Design Manager to join our team at Vistry Group.

As a Design Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating and reviewing consultants, design sub-contractors, and suppliers' information to ensure that it is robust, detailed, and accurate for tendering and construction purposes.

You will also be responsible for monitoring technical and legislative requirements, such as planning, Building Regulations, and warranty conditions, and coordinating information with design consultants to ensure that it meets the requirements of the programme.

Additionally, you will be required to form a communicative relationship with all members of the Vistry project team and external parties, and chair design team meetings as necessary throughout the project.

You will have the opportunity to work on mixed-tenure and partner delivery projects, dealing with social housing and care homes.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Coordinate and review consultants, design sub-contractors, and suppliers' information to ensure that it is robust, detailed, and accurate for tendering and construction purposes.
  2. Monitor technical and legislative requirements, such as planning, Building Regulations, and warranty conditions.
  3. Coordinate information with design consultants to ensure that it meets the requirements of the programme.

Requirements:

  • Experience in design management, preferably in the construction industry.
  • Knowledge of CAD software and IT systems within the technical environment.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience of working on multi-residential developments and care-ready buildings is preferred.
