About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Customer Team Leader to join our team at The Co-operative Group. As a Customer Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading the store team, coaching and supervising our Customer Team Members, and delivering great customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Customer Service: Provide friendly, welcoming, and helpful service to our customers, taking ownership of managing the store and handling challenging situations.
  2. Team Development: Develop your team's capabilities through coaching and training, fostering an inclusive culture where everyone's voice is valued and respected.
  3. Store Operations: Ensure the store remains safe, legal, and fully operational, managing diligence checks and stock accuracy to make shopping a great experience for our customers.
  4. Support and Leadership: Support your store manager by deputising when they're not working and delivering a variety of HR processes, leading the way when introducing new products and services in your store.
  5. Community Engagement: Build relationships and get involved in your local community, supporting your Store Manager with the delivery of the local Co-op community plan.
