We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Plasma Engineer to join our team at NewOrbit Space. As a Plasma Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, assembling, testing, and optimizing plasma thrusters and cathodes for our air-breathing electric propulsion system.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop plasma thrusters and cathodes using advanced plasma diagnostics and simulation tools.
- Conduct experimental and theoretical research into the behavior and dependencies of RF discharge plasma.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate plasma subsystems into the overall satellite architecture.
- Maintain detailed records of experiments, designs, and test results.
Requirements:
- Advanced degree in Aerospace Engineering, Plasma Science, or a related field.
- Relevant experience in plasma research and development, with a track record of successful projects in plasma engines and vacuum technology.
- Strong theoretical and practical understanding of low-pressure plasma physics and vacuum technology.
