About the Role

We are seeking a Merchandising Specialist to join our Buying Team at Poundstretcher, a leading variety discount retailer. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled individual to play a crucial role in ensuring that our stores are always stocked with the right products at the right time, delivering on customer expectations and driving sales.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Analyse sales trends and forecast future demand in collaboration with the Buying team.
  2. Assist in creating purchasing plans that align with sales and seasonal promotions.
  3. Review product availability and reorder levels to avoid stockouts or excess inventory.
  4. Track and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) related to stock turnover and sales.

Requirements

  1. Prior experience in a merchandising or buying role, preferably within a retail environment.
  2. Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess and act on sales data.
  3. A solid understanding of stock management, purchasing, and inventory control.
