Flox, a pioneering ag-tech start-up, is looking for a seasoned expert to lead the development of our AI-based features and scale our analytics product. As Head of Machine Learning Engineering, you will be responsible for guiding us in scaling and extending our AI-based product features, managing the expansion of our MLOps infrastructure, and advocating for Data and ML as part of the Leadership Team strategic efforts.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of commercial Computer Vision experience, with a strong understanding of MLOps and leadership experience in managing teams of 3+ people. They will also be expected to design, implement, and manage ML algorithms, as well as mentor and line-manage the Computer Vision team.

This role offers a unique opportunity to work with a dynamic team, leverage cutting-edge technologies, and contribute to a meaningful cause. In return, we offer a competitive salary of £90k-£120k depending on experience and location, plus £100k+ share options package, flexible working arrangements, and a comprehensive benefits package including 25 days' holidays (excluding bank holidays), lunch and snacks provided in the office, and exposure to state-of-the-art technologies.

  • 5+ years of commercial Computer Vision experience
  • 3+ years of commercial Data Science experience
  • A strong understanding with MLOps and ideally having led MLOps engineers
  • Experience with our tech stack: Python (Num Py, Scipy, Pandas, etc.), Open CV, Py Torch
