About the Role

The HVAC Supervisor is a crucial position within City Facilities Management, responsible for delivering high-quality services to our clients. This role requires a strong technical expert who can lead and manage a team of HVAC technicians to ensure all services are completed to the agreed standard and comply with regulatory and company standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safety: Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation and company processes, complete specified reports and compliance documentation, and take action on any issues raised.
  • People: Provide technical support and coaching to HVAC technicians, participate in the recruitment and selection process of technician vacancies, and ensure compliance with all City policies and procedures.
  • Excellence: Drive improvement by understanding underperformance on KPIs and implementing action plans, support the Divisional Operations Manager on technical, people, and FM process issues.
  • Service: Represent the company in a professional manner, develop a good working relationship with HVAC technicians and customers, ensure all sites are covered for maintenance services, and audit FM documentation.
  • Financial Responsibilities: Identify and deliver business development opportunities within the budget to fund additional services to the customer, manage all capital plans and projects jointly with the customer and designated managers.
  • People Responsibilities: Manage a technical team consisting of experienced regional HVAC technicians, and participate in on-call rota to provide 24/7 cover.
Requirements
  • SVQ/NVQ Level 3 within Heating/Ventilation/Mechanical Equivalent Qualification
  • ACS Commercial Gas Qualifications COCN, CIGA, CORT, ICPN, CDGA, TPCP1/1A
  • City and Guilds 7671 18th Edition
  • F Gas Qualification
  • Fully conversant with all major manufacturers' systems and equipment
  • In-depth knowledge of HVAC systems
  • Strong PC literacy to include Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to extract, collate, and present data
  • Excellent planning, organizing, prioritization, and project management skills
  • Effective problem-solving and decision-making
  • Strong results focus, takes accountability for own performance
