Job Description

Job Title: Registered General Nurse - Haematology

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Registered General Nurse to join our Haematology Day Unit team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer intravenous drug therapy to patients
  • Work independently and as part of a team to provide patient care
  • Develop and maintain phlebotomy and cannulation skills
  • Supervise and teach junior staff
  • Contribute to the development of our team and the improvement of patient care

Requirements:

  • Experience of administering intravenous drug therapy
  • Experience of working on own and in a team
  • Experience of working in the relevant area
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Ability to administer prescribed medication including transfusion of blood and blood products
  • Uses own initiative and is able to take decisions
