Social Care Assistant

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced individual to join our team as a Social Care Assistant in Gosforth, Newcastle Upon Tyne.
Job Summary:The successful candidate will provide support and care to a 65-year-old gentleman with semantic dementia, assisting him with daily activities, outings, and maintaining his routine.
Key Responsibilities:- Accompany the individual to his favourite venues, including the local pub, and engage in activities that bring him joy.
- Assist with daily tasks, such as preparing drinks and snacks, and monitoring his safety.
- Support the individual in maintaining his routine, including his fixation with time and clock.
- Provide emotional support and companionship, as the individual has become socially isolated due to his condition.
- Experience working with individuals with dementia.
- Patience, compassion, and understanding of the individual's needs.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Permission to work in the U.K.
