Hardware Development Engineer

GTS Group Ltd is a dynamic electronics company looking for a Hardware Development Engineer. This role involves the complete design, development, and testing of electrical systems, ensuring functionality and full compliance with CE directives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design & Development: Lead hardware design, produce detailed schematics, and oversee PCB layout creation to develop compliant products.
- Prototyping & Testing: Develop and test prototypes, conducting simulations and analyses to ensure compliance with reliability, EMC, and safety standards.
- Standards Compliance: Ensure designs comply with CE directives, coordinating with certification bodies to secure required certifications.
- Technical Documentation: Maintain clear documentation, including design specifications, test results, and certification records.
- Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with engineering, product design, and manufacturing teams to integrate electrical components into larger systems.
Qualifications:
- Education: Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: Proven background in electrical and electronics design, with a strong track record of developing safety and EMC-compliant products.
- Essential Skills:
- Proficient with schematic capture software (e.g., Altium Designer).
- Experience with STM32 microcontrollers, analog sensor interfacing, and motor control systems.
- Ability to create firmware in C/C++ for hardware testing and production.
- Skilled in designing electromechanical products to meet safety and EMC standards.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
The estimated salary for this role is £65,000 per annum.
