About the SEN Teacher Role:

GSL Education is seeking a qualified SEN Teacher to join a supportive and inclusive school in Eastleigh. As an SEN Teacher, you will work with students who require additional guidance and encouragement to reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver tailored lesson plans to meet students' diverse learning needs.
  • Use innovative strategies to engage and support SEN students in their learning.
  • Collaborate with teaching assistants and other staff to create an inclusive environment.
  • Monitor and report on student progress, adapting teaching methods as necessary.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and multidisciplinary teams.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience working with students with special educational needs is highly desirable.
  • A compassionate approach, with strong communication and classroom management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and adapt teaching styles to suit individual needs.
  • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one.
