About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Kitchen Assistant to join our team at HC-One. As a Kitchen Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of food safety, hygiene, and quality in our kitchens.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation and serving of nutritious meals to our residents
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to strict health and safety protocols
  • Support the kitchen team in maintaining food supplies, fridge/freezer temperatures, and equipment
  • Provide excellent customer service to our residents, ensuring their dietary needs are met
  • Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to achieve exceptional standards of food quality and presentation
Requirements
  • NVQ2 in Catering or Food Preparation, or willingness to study for one
  • Excellent record keeping and organizational skills
  • Ability to follow recipes and maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment
